Google Chrome Browser

Google Chrome Browser is out. We spend much of our time working inside a browser. We search, chat, email and collaborate in a browser. And like all of you, in our spare time, we shop, bank, read news and keep in touch with friends - all using a browser.

google-chrome

People are spending an increasing amount of time online, and they’re doing things never imagined when the web first appeared about 15 years ago.

I have tried this browser and i think its lot more fast and easy to use without nonsense.I like Gtalk and also now Google Chrome because they meant to server the purpose and meant for serious work. For developers, I suggest Gtalk, Gmail and Google Chrome are the best choices.

According to Google; the web has evolved from mainly simple text pages to rich, interactive applications and that we needed to completely rethink the browser. What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that’s what we set out to build.

Enable Hibernation In Windows Vista

If the hiberfil.sys file on the system partition is removed, the option to hibernate is not available. A common reason for the hiberfil.sys to be deleted is from running the Disk Cleanup Tool, as explained in the Microsoft article “The hybrid sleep feature and the hibernation feature in Windows Vista may become unavailable after you use the Disk Cleanup Tool” (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928897/en-us ).

To create the hibernate file and reenable hibernation, use the following command:

powercfg -h on

In Windows Vista, run the powercfg -h on command at a command prompt to enable the hibernate feature and the hybrid sleep feature.

Speed Up the Web

Here is a special tip for those who are still using any slow dial-up internet connection due to unavailability of any broadband connection in their area. The Web Accelerator application designed to provide the full acceleration for your routine web sites browsing. With the help of Web Accelerator you can browse your internet 4 to 6 times faster than normal dial-up connection. Basically this services compressing the website text data, images and heavy graphics to open or download this data with high speed. Google Web Accelerator works with your browser to help web pages show up in a snap.

This technique is more useful for static websites and for email applications but don’t accelerate with secure and downloading audio or video files. Some good web accelerator retains your system cache to reuse websites with faster speed and can also block windows pop-up.

Marriage Proposal By A Googler

Michael proposed his girl friend and she said yes. But he thought that his original proposal was quiet and low-key. It was just some simple heart-felt words exchanged during a quiet night at home. So he did what any Silicon Valley geek would do: He decided to upgrade to “Proposal 2.0,” a new improved online version. He proposed to Leslie from inside a Google Street View panorama. And it went live on Google Maps on August 5, 2008.

Michael Weiss-Malik, work for Google. Google Street View team decided to coordinate a pre-announced Street View run outside Google’s Mountain View offices, with the idea that Googlers could line up along the street and appear in the imagery. So Michael put together his “Proposal 2.0″ billboard and showed up, hoping that it’d be readily visible. And it was!

Michael thinks that you can help him too telling Leslie what you think! Infact he has created a website marrymeleslie.com so that you can drop her a line to help him propose! With your help, hopefully she’ll give an even more enthusiastic “yes” to the second proposal than she did to the first one!

Simple Steps To Troubleshoot PC Errors

If your computer has slowed down recently, and an error message such as a runtime error and DLL error have become a common affair, it is time for you to do some PC troubleshooting. Discussed below are some simple steps to help you troubleshoot your PC.

Check Any New Hardware or Software You Installed Recently

If the problems on your computer follow a recent software installation, it is quite likely that this program either has copied incompatible or outdated files to your system, or is having conflicts with other programs running on the system. In this case, you may try to resolve the error either by updating or uninstalling this troublesome program.

In the same way, if the errors appear soon after you install a new hardware, there may be problems with the device driver of this hardware. To check this, try to update the driver by downloading the updated files from the hardware manufacturer’s Web site. If the error still appears, there might be some physical problem with the new device and you may have to get it replaced or repaired.

Scan the PC for Malware Infections

A sudden slow down in computer performance and frequent errors may also indicate some sort of malware infection. Malware programs, such as virus and Trojans creep on to your system through infected Web sites, email attachments, and external media. Malware programs such as spyware and adware are also known to come bundled with other software, especially free games and media files that you may download from the Internet.

To resolve problems caused by malware infections, ensure that your antivirus and antispyware programs are updated with the latest malware database and then run a full system scan to detect and remove these malicious programs. If you do not have a malware removal tool on your PC, you may search for, and download a reliable tool from the Internet.

Scan and clean your Windows Registry

Registry problems may generate several computer errors, such as runtime errors, driver errors, and DLL errors. Windows XP and other Windows operating systems use the Windows registry to store software, hardware and other system configuration information. Registry problems occur when registry files get damaged due to an uncontrollable increase in its size pertaining to the accumulation of outdated, invalid, and corrupt entries within it. To prevent and fix registry problems, it is essential that you regularly scan and clean your registry. The best and the most efficient way to perform these tasks is to use a reliable registry cleaner tool.

Perform a System Restore

Many times, PC errors occur if you or a program you installed recently made some changes to the system configuration that did not work as desired. If you are unable to revert these changes manually, the error may continue to generate and prevent you from working normally. In this case, you can use the Windows System Restore utility to revert your system configuration and system files back to the time when your computer was operating without any problems. The System Restore utility that ships with Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems, continually monitors your system for any major changes and creates a restore point before these changes are implemented. These restore points comprise the changes done to the registry and system configuration. So, when you perform a system restore, these changes are reverted and you may have your system working normally again. You can launch the System Restore utility by navigating through Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. If required, you can use System Restore to make manual restore points. You may need to do this before you are going to make any major configuration changes to your system.

What Is Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit Amet

Webmasters or web designers use this text widely. Ever wondered what is this and where it came from?

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Why Use Lorem Ipsum?

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose.

English Translation of Lorem Ipsum

Cicero’s original text

H. Rackham’s 1914 translation

Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?
